Betsy Anderson Elected to IHCA Board of Directors
SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Health Care Association (IHCA) has announced that Betsy Anderson has been elected to the IHCA Board of Directors. She will serve as Associate/Individual Member First Vice-President.Betsy Anderson is Vice-President of FR&R Healthcare Consulting, Inc. (FR&R) located in Deerfield. She is primarily responsible for the day-to-day activities of FR&R’s Healthcare Management Group, providing consulting services to the health care profession regarding reimbursement, regulatory and operational challenges. Since joining FR&R in 1989, she has been instrumental in developing FR&R’s national reputation as Medicare experts.  She has a degree in accountancy and her professional knowledge includes clinical experience as a nursing student and as a Medicare auditor for a Fiscal Intermediary. Her clients include skilled nursing facilities, continuing care retirement communities, assisted living, rehabilitation agencies and senior nursing organizations. A frequent speaker on health care topics, she has presented for numerous organizations. In addition to publishing many articles in state health care newsletters, she is also co-author of A Health Care Provider’s Guide to HIPAA, and writes monthly bulletins regarding new regulations and compliance issues for her clients. She will serve a two-year term. The IHCA is a non-profit organization comprised of approximately 500 licensed and certified long-term care facilities and programs throughout the state. Founded in 1950, IHCA is the largest and oldest long-term care association in Illinois.
