Hospices began reporting the number of nursing, aide, and social worker visits on their claims in 2008. The charges for those services are covered in the hospice bundled payment and are listed on the remittance advice notices and the Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs) as non-covered. This has caused some confusion with some of the secondary payers and beneficiaries. Read full article. |
